Count Nicolas Apraxine

President

Born in Tallinn, Estonia in 1936, he arrived in Belgium in October 1939, completed his secondary education at Saint-Pierre College in Uccle, and then studied civil engineering at the University of Louvain. He worked for the Union Minière in Katanga, then for Petrofina S.A. in Brussels and Zaire. He ended his career as the General Delegate of Petrofina for the CIS and Eastern countries. He participated as a lay representative in the Council (Sobor) for the election of Patriarch Alexis II in 1990, and was at the Kremlin on 16 August 1991, the day of the coup against Gorbachev that marked the end of communism in Russia.
President of the F.P.P.R. since November 2019.

The founder and former president of the Foundation for the Preservation of Russian Heritage in the EU. Former vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce for Russia and Belarus, and consultant for Russia.

Pierre Lierneux

Vice President

Born in Brussels in 1965, a doctor of history, responsible for designing exhibitions at the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History under the auspices of the new War Heritage Institute. Founding member of the Foundation for the Preservation of Russian Heritage.

Georges Woronoff

Treasurer

Georges Woronoff is a civil engineer and holds degrees in Business Administration and Foreign Trade. He worked in the Campine mines, then in Bulgaria as a representative of Brussels-Capital. Through his own company, still active, he has worked on international projects for the Belgian railways in Mongolia, the Philippines, Iran, Syria, Morocco, Gabon, Slovakia, Serbia, Poland, Uruguay, and Ukraine. He enjoys lyrical and choral singing. Married, father of 4 children, he has 11 grandchildren. The grandson of an officer of the Imperial Guard, he is passionate about military history, geopolitics, and family history, as well as volunteering.
